BOARD INITIATIVES

1)  The current ongoing project to establish golf cart parking slots to eliminate the need for carts to park partially on the beach road with a retention wall and add a handicap-accessible dune walkover.  Project on Hold

2) Installing beach trashcans and baskets with twice weekly clean-up service during summer and once weekly service rest of the year.

3.) Installing and maintenance of pet waste stations in the subdivision.

4) Neighborhood events like the St. Patty party, potlucks, and July 4th golf cart parade to encourage social interaction with others in the subdivision.

5.) Scheduled Work days and projects.

GOLF CARTS

As we work toward improving golf cart parking at beach access areas, please be mindful that others also need place to park their cart . Pull straight in and park and allow room for other golf carts.

PET OWNERS

Please be kind to others and keep control (leash) of your critters.  *Reminder* not everyone loves dogs and allowing yours to run free is not responsible or legal .

Also, please “pick up” after them and keep our beaches and subdivision clean.

PUBLIC BEACH ACCESS

There is a lot of misinformation about public vs. private beach access.  While the beach is open to the public, ACCESS to the beach from Surfside Shores is PRIVATE and is to be used only by residents and guests.  There is no public parking in Surfside Shores; automobiles are subject to be towed if parked illegally in the neighborhood.

There is a public beach access on the western side of Morgantown about one mile west of Surfside Shores.  This is a Baldwin County park and has a parking lot and boardwalk for easy beach access.

SHARE THE BEACH

Help protect our turtles. Please encourage your guests to fill in any holes and clean up the beach daily.
